FAQ
Giving Day is a one-day opportunity to show your support of Stevenson School. It is a day of celebration, pride, and fun surrounding philanthropy. Each school year, Stevenson asks all members of our Pirate family to consider a gift in support of the school. Participation is KEY! Giving Day is the perfect time to make your gift, boost participation, and show how you care for our school community. Read all the emails, watch the clever videos, follow, “like,” and “share” on social media all day to be part of the fun! There will be special giveaways and challenges throughout the day, as well.
Tuition accounts for 90% of Stevenson’s annual operating budget. The Annual Fund is the yearlong fundraising campaign that raises money each year to be used for our students’ educations. All donations support the operating budget of the current year, allowing us to enhance our academic, arts, athletics, financial aid, and professional development offerings beyond what tuition alone could provide. The Annual Fund adds 5% to our annual operating budget. Support for the Annual Fund comes from Pirate parents/guardians, parents of alumni, alumni, and friends of the school. You can support the Annual Fund and other capital initiatives during Giving Day.
Stevenson is a community that rallies around our teachers and students in order to provide them with the best learning opportunities possible. We do not rely on tuition alone to provide that education; we rely on our community to give, volunteer, and show up. Giving Day and giving to the annual fund is an efficient way for you to give back, and high participation levels show outside funders that we are an engaged community.
Because you “keep us on our toes!”
